Well prepared for travel to Africa

Travel has become quite controversial. Not only because of COVID-19, but also because of its negative impact on the environment. And also, though less well known, because of the damage travelers can inflict on local communities.

Does that mean you shouldn’t travel?

No, not at all!

You would like to take a trip to Africa, or you are going to volunteer in an African country

You want to make the most of your Africa experience and really get to explore the country you are visiting without causing a negative impact.

We are Dilo and Patricia and we live in Malawi and Ghana. We are great lovers of this continent. Besides that we are pure optimists, idealists and perseverants.
We discovered that we had a common passion; Sustainable travel in the broadest sense of the word. Not because it is a fashionable term, but because we know that travelers see and experience much more when they travel with respect for people, plants and animals.

We also have common annoyances. The many misconceptions about the continent of Africa, how many people are exploited by big companies, how tourism can cause huge problems for people and nature.

Ultimately, we both believe:

  • In a better world, where people and nature live in abundance
  • In taking responsibility; before, during and after the trip
  • That Africa is the most amazing continent in the world

Sustainable travel can be learned and doesn’t have to be as difficult and expensive as some organizations would have you think!
We would love to assist you with our online course, books and guidance, online and in Africa!
